Sea water with the WPO (Wave Power Only) system using wave motion pumping through the flexible tube in the water tank. From the water tank sea water flows through the flexible water pipe to the vaporizer. Solar heat with the help of parabolic mirrors concentrate the heat on the evaporator surface.Sea water turns into steam inside the evaporator.Steam is passed through stills and it turns into pure drinking water. This project is very easy to do! Needed: aluminium can, a thin copper plate, two spacers of rubber, motor cd rom 2-3 volts, 1 liter of water with 3-4 tablespoons of salt for foods. The duration of the motor rotation is about 7-8 minutes. ---------------------------------------- When the salt water depletes its energy, it must be filled with new water and salt, or the salt water discharge can be loaded with an external battery of 1.5 volts. * The success of this experiment is necessary to have an motor that has a low power consumption 15-20 mA max. and a voltage of 2-3 volts, "motor cd rom" inside PC. The use of motors for toys are not suitable for this type of experiment. ** The copper foil can not be replaced with other metals. https://youtu.be/6J5R9X8QrJA
An Australian company has been working on a system that uses underwater buoys to convert sea waves into zero-emission energy and desalinated water. Australian firm Carnegie Wave Energy has been developing a system called CETO, which aims to utilise sea waves to generate power. Steel-made buoys that can currently generate 240 kilowatts are the main part of the system. At the Australian naval base HMAS Stirling, three buoys are placed 11 kilometres apart. The buoys are less susceptible to extreme weather damage, while underwater waves are sufficient to generate power. The buoys' pumps drive the high pressure water to an onshore power plant via a subsea pipe. The high pressure water spins the turbines, which then generate zero-carbon electricity. The CETO system can be used to power a des...
MSNBC production on the use of solar energy to desalinate sea water in the western US.
Simple invention desalinizes seawater for drinking! The 'Eliodomestico' ~ https://vimeo.com/gabrielediamanti "Projects 'for the 90%' mostly fall somewhere between two extremes: charity and business," designer Gabriele Diamanti tells Co.Design. "Neither was my inspiration!" Instead, spurred on by his own extensive travel and friends' involvement in NGOs, he developed a fascination with global water scarcity as a graduate student at Milan Polytechnic in 2005; he recently decided to pursue his interest again and the result is Eliodomestico, an open-source variation on a solar still.
GO GREEN 2016! Latest state of the art Seawater Power Plant @ Seawater conversion green technology has revolutionary system that generates 3 in 1= Electricity + Fresh Mineral Water + Mineral Salt as a by-product. Let's be part of history in the making NOW!!!.
Project is very easy to accomplish, required: Copper sheet 240x300 mm. Zinc sheet 240x300 mm. Five rubber insulation 0.3-0.5 mm. Motor 2-3 volts. The voltage that is produced by the system is of 0.73 volts, 45-50 mA. * The sheets of copper and zinc can be varied as pleasure larger, increasing the power. ** The Engine 2-3 volts can be retrieved from "cd rom motor". *** To secure the success of this experiment, it is necessary to have an motor that has a low power consumption 15-20 mA max. and a voltage of 2-3 volts. It 'not recommended to use all kinds of motors for toys.
바닷물로 전기 만든다...해수 전지 상용화 연구 A team of local researchers are working to develop a way to harness energy using seawater. Kim Hyo-sun introduces to us, this new type of battery that relies on an abundant and readily available source. These coin-sized batteries produce electricity using seawater. A team of researchers led by Professor Kim Young-sik at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology... are developing them for industrial use. Using sodium, the sixth-most abundant element on earth,... these batteries are not only eco-friendly but also cost-efficient. "We're conducting research to develop seawater batteries for industrial use and commercial distribution by enhancing their power capacity." The battery extracts sodium ions from the seawater,... which react with wate...
Green energy is a must in Abu Dhabi and it was a requirement of the project to power the desalination plants using solar energy. There is no lack of sunlight in Abu Dhabi and solar power overcomes the usually high cost of energy for operating the plant, but importantly it has no environmental impact.
"5/22/2007 Retired TV station owner and broadcast engineer, John Kanzius, wasn't looking for an answer to the energy crisis. He was looking for a cure for cancer." Sounds great, but Stan Meyer ended up dead somehow in the 90s when he invented his famous water powered car. I hope this guy lives long enough to get this invention into production.
http://www.euronews.net/ In Dartmouth, in the UK, technicians are working on a sort of "aquatic bicycle pump" which could be the future of renewable energy. In tests, the Searaser has produced enough energy to power a light bulb, but this is only a prototype and the finished Searaser will be around 13 times bigger than this. Alvin Smith, the inventor of Searaser said: "It is really only a bicycle pump with a float on it. As this pump goes up and down it sucks sea water and pumps sea water out, purely through the action of the waves." He came up with the idea about 10 years ago while playing with an inflatable ball in a swimming pool. Searaser pumps seawater using a vertical piston between two buoys - one on the surface of the water, the other suspended underwater and tethered to a weight...
